The Haven Parenting and Wellbeing Centre, part of Fostering Attachments Ltd is run by Therapeutic Parent Coaches and Therapists who specialise in supporting parents who look after children with complex needs, through their Therapeutic Journey. Our team have first hand experience in supporting young children who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) and understand the pressures families face.
The Haven supports clients through the use of Therapeutic Parent coaching, and combined therapies. We support, encourage and empower clients to find the tools they need to make positive changes to specific areas of their lives.
In 2016 Fostering Attachments Ltd commissioned the first published research in to Compassion Fatigue within the fostering sector with Bristol University's Hadley Centre for Adoption and Fostering Studies. We now specialise in providing interventions to prevent and relieve Compassion Fatigue in parents, giving them the tools to create and sustain a healthy lifestyle encompassing resilience in order for them to parent effectively using the Therapeutic Parenting model.
The Haven Parenting and Wellbeing Centre is a partner agency with The Centre of Excellence in Child Trauma. (CoECT) The CoECT is an umbrella organisation combining resources, research and knowledge from cutting edge experts in the sector - Inspire Training Group, National Association of Therapeutic Parents and Sarah Naish - Keynote Speaker and Author.
