How many times have watched your child experience meltdowns after school?
Sometimes children can feel overwhelmed at school but cover up these feelings well, also known as 'masking'.
The emotional overwhelm of the school day may be shown after school and dealing with this can be hard on both of you, and this is where the connected learning programme offer support to bridge the gap between home and school whilst addressing emotional regulation within this.
The Programme aims to develop a calm, balanced approach to parenting for both child and parent, recognising feelings of overwhelm and forming strategies to promote self regulation in school and out of school, through the use of Therapeutic Parent Coaching, Art Therapy, a Delta Wave Therapy and Mindfulness.
This course also includes the optional support for parents to achieve CACHE accredited level 2 award in SAfE parenting to give parents underpinning knowledge of child development, attachment, parenting strategies and self care to prevent Compassion fatigue in parents.
